ASMR stands for autonomous sensory meridian response; a term used to describe a tingling, static-like, or goosebumps sensation you fell from visual or auditory stimuli that feels pleasant and relaxing to you. ASMR je skraćenica od Autonomous sensory meridian response (autonomni senzorni meridijalni refleks) i predstavlja onaj neobičan osećaj prijatnosti koji se širi telom dok vas neko, na primer, mazi po kosi ili masira po ramenima, a koji se javlja i dok gledate određene slike, slušate određene zvuke... Naučnici ASMR priznaju kao metodu opuštanja - to je danas svetski hit u lečenju nesanice. Javljaju se kao reakcija na "okidače", koji mogu biti taktilni, ali i zvučni i vizuelni. Zvučni okidači su šumovi koji kod većine ljudi podstiču prijatan osećaj, kao što su šaputanje, grickanje, šuškanje papira, zvuk talasa, kiše, nežnog tapkanja prstima, listanja knjige... zato ja pravim ASMR videe, da vas opustim.
