The ASMR Lounge #1 - Introduction - Whispered binaural session for relaxation, meditation & sleep
12 years ago
Namaste! Welcome to a new series called The ASMR Lounge where the goal is to provide both a visually and aurally ASMR inducing, relaxing binaural experience that perhaps will be useful for meditation, study and/or sleep, while trying to improve mental and physical well being.
First, I know there is a hum or buzz in the audio. I believe my corded camera was creating this interference when using the binaural microphones. Hopefully it is not distracting, but I tried my best to correct it in post production. I hope to correct this going forward.
In this particular episode I briefly play my Native American Flute in F#, explore the sounds of a Russian Nesting doll, crinkly plastic bags, discuss psychoactives briefly, provide an update on my contest results, and much more.
The goal of this weekly series is not only to provide ASMR and relaxation, but to expand and play relaxing music at certain intervals throughout the session, whether my own , user submitted, or something from Soundcloud perhaps. I will most likely always whisper, and either talk about various topics (thus replacing the Let's Talk series) and perhaps introducing certain meditation techniques such as Buddhist mantras. I also am opening this up to have other ASMR creators submit a short video to appear as "guests". I will always end the video with a sleep countdown. And beyond that, well, the sky's the limit.
Comments, suggestions and constructive criticism always welcomed.
Thanks as always for watching and for your support.
Tingle on,
Paul

What is ASMR? Why am I whispering?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand motions, whispering and personal attention. My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or tingles, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to provide stress relief (especially for those suffering from depression, anxiety and even PTSD), help people sleep and even serve as a study aid.
