This vampire ASMR roleplay video is inspired by Sinners and takes place during the Juke Joint night scenes. I hope you enjoy, my darklings! Characters: 🖤Mayline: my OC's name inspired by Mary & Pearline from Sinners, & Evangeline from The Princess & The Frog. A white woman that was invited to the Juke Joint by her best friend who she grew up with in Mississippi. Mayline coming from the month of May as well and her friend being June, showing that they are close. 🖤Female Remmick: Inspired by Remmick from Sinners Songs: 🖤First song sung by Remmick - “As I Went Down In The River To Pray”: the word “sinners” referenced. Inspiration from O’Brother Where Art Thou, keeping with the theme in Sinners that Christianity does not bother vampires, but did leave an impression on Remmick when the English came to Ireland. Also, showing that Remmick is trying to use an African American folk hymn to lure them into liking her. Its origins are not 100% certain, but it's possible that it came from a Native American tribe, and Remmick references that she just learned it. Possibly referencing her time with the Native Americans like in the movie Sinners. The song also sings about freedom; the “starry crown”, following the North Star to freedom. It's theorized that, in the movie Sinners, Remmick may have been using freedom as a tactic to get people on his side. 🖤Second song sung by Remmick - “Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral”: Irish for something like goodbye with a promise to return. I used this to refer to vampirism and Remmick leaving the Juke Joint but will be seeing them again. She is singing it at she is seeing Mayline again. It's a lullaby that my Irish grandma sang to my mom and then my mom sang to me when I was a little girl, connecting my Irish heritage.
