ASMR Spicy Chilies + Homemade Banh Tet Banh Chung (Soft Eating Sounds) | No Talking ASMR Phan
6 years ago
Hi My Phan Club!
Happy Lunar New Years to you guys! My Aunt made some fresh Vietnamese Banh Tet also known as Banh Chung or Banh u. The name really depends on the shape of the rice cake. Tet (cylinder), Chung (square) and u (triangular which is what my aunt made). It’s glutinous rice filled with mung beans and pork belly and wrapped in a banana leaf and steamed. They rice is super sticky and flavorful from the fragrant of the leaves. The filling is seasoned with a lot of black pepper and super savory from the pork. I actually love slicing the cylinder version up and frying all the sides. It’s super crispy and tastes amazing! This is usually paired with a brined (not pickle) veggies. Dehydrated carrots, papaya, chilies and sometimes baby leaks! The sauce is sweet and very salty from the fish sauce. Every New Years we share and eat this with the family. This year I’m sharing it with you guys! I’m wishing all my Phan Club an amazing year!
Love you all! xoxo! ;)
