Hi my Phan Club! Today I am enjoying one of my favorite Vietnamese desserts which is called Bánh phu thê or bánh xu xê. This is also known as Husband and Wife cake.This cake is made from rice with mung beans stuffing wrapped in a box made of pandan leaves.The dessert was traditionally given by a suitor but is now part of many wedding banquets. In that day, the husband will send this cake to his wife. It is representing the happy future forever for their life. P.S.
